May 2020

Uh, this is a late summary, sorry! And it seems the wordpress editor changed? WHYYYYYY? I hate this!

I started strong but got into a slump in the end of the month that I’m still in. Please bear with me. Haven’t felt the urge to pick up a book for a while and it’s only slowly coming back. But that’s fine! I’m having a great time. And some very awesome books waiting for me.

I still managed to finish 5 books:

  1. Wundersmith. The Calling of Morrigan Crow: Nevermoor 2 / Jessica Townsend ★★★★★ (5/5)
  2. Calling on Dragons. Enchanted Forest Chronicles 3 / Patricia C. Wrede ★★★ (3/5)
  3. Reaper Man. Discworld 11 / Terry Pratchett ★★★  (3/5)
  4. Come Tumbling Down. Wayward Children 5 / Seanan McGuire ★★★★ (4/5)
  5. Assassin’s Apprentice. Farseer Trilogy 1 / Robin Hobb ★★★★★ (5/5)

2 of them were ReReads!

TBR: 7

Go Big or Go Home Challenge: 1 (Wundersmith by Jessica Townsend – 525 pages)

Discworld Challenge: 1 (Reaper Man)

Reading at the moment:

I’m not really reading anything at all, but am in the middle of the Jordan and about 25% into Paladin. I am enjoying both even though they’re very different.

I don’t make any plans at all for May. Maybe read a book? Maybe not? I’m not sure. I think the new Morrigan Crow novel will be published – I preordered it. And if it gets here I will read it asap, but it might be only next month [EDIT: It has since been pushed back and will be out in September this year 😦 ]. If I could finish the Jordan that would be neat. And The Last Emperox by John Scalzi is on my radar too.

I’ve discovered a new pro wrestling promotion during the last month (Dragon Gate) though and am soo addicted! At least there’s one good thing about my other favourite promotion cancelling all shows. I ventured out and found something just as good! 2 is better than 1, so hooray! And NJPW is coming back live next week so I’m EXCITED!

  1. Also in a reading slump at the moment. I have however worked almost every day so far this month… Milou is also reading Reaper Man. I loved it. It was also my second TP book.

  2. I’ve been using the new editor, trying to give it a fair shot, and while it’s not the same I do find that I don’t mind it as much as I did when they first did tests of it. I’m getting used to it, anyway, even if the way I blog has changed.

Looks like May was still a good reading month! And if you have no real plans for June, that’s just fine, too. Breaks from planning can be nice.
