January was a GOOD month!
Here are my stats according to bookly. Ignore the finished book section, it’s wrong. I don’t know why, but it moved 3 books I finished this year to 2019 and won’t change it. Hope they fix this soon…..
The pace section is still broken as well & I read more pages in a day for sure. Like about 400 -.- At least the total of pages seems to be right….
If it wasn’t for the neat tracking system and the fact there’s nothing better out there right now, I’d drop it. It’s annoying me a lot though that it seems to be half working only. Recommend me alternatives if you know any, please!
Here are all the books I read, a total of 7!!
- The Dry. Aaron Falk 1 / Jane Harper (Review) ★★★★★ (5/5)
- Daggerspell. Deverry 1 / Katherine Kerr (Review) ★★☆ (2.5/5)
- The Eye of the World. Wheel of Time 1 / Robert Jordan (Read Along)
- The Hanged Man. Tarot Sequence 1 / K.D. Edwards ★★★★
- The Collapsing Empire. The Interdependency 1 / John Scalzi ★★★★★ (5/5)
- Saga, Vol. 8 / Brian K. Vaughan & Fiona Staples ★★★★ (4/5)
- Murder on the Orient Express / Agatha Christie ★★★ (3/5)

I didn’t read any books for my 2 challenges, but started 2, at least 🙂
Reading at the moment
212/736 pages of The Great Hunt by Robert Jordan. I’m a little addicted. Big Fantasy Epicness, hell yeah!
10/652 of Blood of Empire by Brian McClellan. Just started, but I am excited!
February looks to be the month of big books. I actually don’t plan to read more than those 2 so anything extra will be a success! I might sneak in another Agatha Christie cause they are incredibly short. If I feel like it!
Additionally to those 2 novels I started listening to the audio book version of Dead Beat by Jim Butcher. It’s the 7th Harry Dresden and again narrated by James Marsters. I’ve listened to 55 min of 15h 7 min^^ I didn’t remember those to be this long! If I listen to it everytime I drive to and from work, it will take me a little less than 2 weeks to finish it I think. And as the print book has over 500 pages, it will count for my big book challenge, yay!
Apart from reading… I haven’t been too productive this month. My favourite Japanese wrestling promotion was on a break for a couple of weeks so I was only watching AEW and a bit AAA. They’re back on in February though, so I won’t spend as many evenings reading. We haven’t started watching any new series yet. Nothing really out there that sounds too interesting. I also haven’t been gaming – am waiting for the new Story of Seasons game & then I’m back to it!
I really, really want to buy a Barista coffee machine for home so I can experiment & do more latte art. They are not cheap though. The one I want I can’t afford yet. My Birthday is in the end of March soooo… maybe then!
Until then – instant matcha latte? 😀
I gave Wilma a bath the other day and she was miserable 😉 Walter will go to a groomer, he’s too furry, but Wilma is easy cause she has short fur! Once she’s in the bath tub she’s a good girl and stands still. But getting her in there is the hassle, cause madame doesn’t help, so I gotta lift her in.
For the foodies – I had halloumi fries last week and they were delicious!!
Oh, and is anyone here watching the Superbowl? I don’t know anything about it, but my favourite wrestler will sure do 😉
He even had a special mask made! Isn’t that adorable?
Apparently this player here is using his ‘Cero Miedo’ gesture in matches.
Have a wonderful February!
