Books, Dogs & Gardening #3

What a busy week!

I worked every day apart from Friday and the weather was nuts! Wednesday morning we had -1 degrees and Thursday over lunch time we had 27 and I was sweating! Not used to it yet! I like my Spring first before it goes into Summer šŸ˜€

At least my seeds have been growing and one of the biggest supermarkets in Australia has a special on. If you spend a certain amount of money you get little seed pots to collect & grow. What a good idea! It’s for kids, mainly, but we get so many because the supermarket is our supplier at work.

Only missing 4!

I’m still reading Twelve Kings, but also started on a couple of samples in between, like The Eyes of Tamburah by Maria V. Snyder. And The Wheel of Time is taking over my mind. SEND HELP!

Wilma is very good at posing with books! She got treats after ā¤

I met Mrs. Wombat on my way to work the other day and we had an Echidna at the back of the property! The first one I saw out in the open šŸ˜€

I had to fix our front fence, because Walter figured out how to jump it… It’s almost double the height now, so definitely safe! I leave the gate open when I’m home, but when they are alone in the garden, I don’t want them to roam the property and the National Park next to us!

..and to wrap up this post – here’s an interesting drink I had this week. Would you try?

  1. A cinnamon donut drink? That sounds tasty. Was it good?
Give in to the Wheel of Time!! LOL!! I’m so gleeful that I’m not the only one who feels like this.
I’m 8 chapters into Eye of the World and can’t believe it because I really thought I was done with the it the last time I gave up reading Lord of Chaos, which is where I stopped in the series. I think that’s 5 or 6.

    1. I gave in, I GAVE IN AAAH šŸ˜€ I think I got as far as book 3 or 4 the first time I started. And then the second I only read the first lol. Let’s see how it goes now šŸ˜€

The drink was actually really nice! And it DID taste like cinnamon donut šŸ˜€

      1. Oh man, we’re phracking drowning in pumpkin spice this time of year. Sometimes it feels like if you can eat it, drink it or smell it, they try to shoe-horn in pumpkin spice! Thankfully, I haven’t seen such a thing as a pumpkin spice steak šŸ˜€

  2. So cool, and I hope the dogs are wise enough not to pester echidna šŸ˜‰
In NZ we have Disney tiles instead of seed pots in Woolworths/Countdown… I’d definitely prefer the pots šŸ˜‰

  3. You may be heading into Spring while we’re heading into Autumn, but I think we’re both suffering from the problem of “no! Not Summer!” We keep getting warmer temps again as Summer is not quite ready to leave California. Oh well. We’ll get Autumn eventually, even if it’s always too short a season for us.
