Wyrd & Wonder: Update #1

A little bit over a week has passed and I am happy to report that I am enjoying the challenge & reading my books a whole lot!

I set myself the challenge to finish the second part of 1Q84 by Haruki Murakami today and woah, I actually did^^

..It was really good though, so it wasn’t hard!

I can now participate in the Read Along for Jen Williams’ The Ninth Rain. A book that’s been on my radar for a while. I can’t wait to get started!

I also want to read those:

One down, 3 more to go. And I might have ordered some more books today, but they will take a while to arrive.

I will try to get all of my outstanding reviews done for next week – this will be another challenge for myself as I’ve been pretty lazy!

  1. After looking at that cover for Searching for Dragons, I have to admit I prefer the older, cartoon’y version I read πŸ˜‰
those guys look VERY serious and these books aren’t serious πŸ˜€

  2. I really enjoyed Wrede’s Enchanted Forest Chronicles! That cover is a bit odd, though. I wonder if it’s just because it’s in black & white, or if it would look as strange in color.

  3. I love how you were presenting what you were reading with photos – I keep losing the hours to put mine together but I love how everyone has been arranging them. I also opted out of the RALs but I’m thankful you were one of the readers who felt the story was a good fit for you! I look forward to following through your posts and seeing what else you’ve been up too this month!! πŸ™‚ Best thing – glad to see you were having FUN as that is the best part of the event!
