Just checking in!

I should be writing a review now, but I can’t really sort out my thoughts. A couple of days ago I finished The Poppy War by R. F. Kuang and it seriously blew me away. I might need some days until I can write down my thoughts. But this book definitely delivered. It’s certainly controversial in some parts, but it’s such a great story with amazing characters and I was captivated from the start. I finished it within 2 days.

Remember when I was whinging about only finishing one book last month? This month I already read 3!

I am the greatest

And all of them are really good!

I want to pick another book to start today, next to Sheepfarmer’s Daughter by Elizabeth Moon. I feel like something short, so it’s probably going to be one of those two:

In both cases I liked the previous books/ book and wanted to continue.

I’ve been enjoying reading a whole lot this month – it definitely helps that I picked pretty good books and that I am not playing my Switch at the moment. I am sure I will get back to it though, I haven’t finished Breath of the Wild yet. With me and gaming it has always been like that. I am addicted for like 2-3 weeks and play for hours every day. And then I stop for a while. Until I pick it up again and the whole process repeats itself.

I am also really hype for the G1 Climax in New Japan Pro Wrestling that starts later today. Thanks to Japan being only one hour behind us in Melbourne, I can watch all of it live. And I plan to do just that. So here’s to Wrestling every night for about a month! Let’s see when I go crazy or am over it.

Oh, and I can’t get this song out of my head! I should have checked out ‘Yuri on Ice’ earlier.

  1. I’m completely with you on gaming. A video game can TAKE OVER MY LIFE for a few weeks, and then I won’t touch it for a month only to repeat the process a short while later. Still, I love them! Glad to hear BOTW is good. We still haven’t played that one yet. Mr. Wyrm is still working on 100%-ing Super Mario Odyssey.
