Visit new planets, meet new adversaries, and explore a very new direction as Hazel
becomes a toddler, while her family struggles to stay on their feet.
This was by far the weakest volume. The young family ended up on the planet Gardenia, and is trying to live a quiet life under different names. Although some time has passed and Hazel is a little toddler now, they still fear being detected.
While Marko is staying at home, Alana took on a role in the ‘Open Circuit’, which is a cheesy Space Opera. It’s not an easy job and does not make her happy, but it offers the chance to stay hidden & in costume as well as earns them much needed money.
Alana and Marko are growing further and further apart in this volume and fight a lot, as both are not happy with their current situation. And to add to it, Alana really fucks up and starts taking drugs.
I was a bit bored by the episodes on Alana in the Open Circuit. I really didn’t care about it. And I also didn’t like her fighting with Marko and Marko getting close to that other lady. It was a bit depressing.
What I did like was seeing Prince Robot again, in another very different role. And also I was a big fan of meeting up with Gwendolyn and Lying Cat, who are still trying to save the Will ๐ I wish they were featured a bit more though.
The start was slow and had some things I didn’t like, as mentioned above. But the ending was totally worth it again – I especially LOVED the last scene. Who thought THEY would end up working together!
3/5 Stars only. As a whole, it wasn’t as entertaining as the first 3 volumes. I have high hopes for volume 5 though, as the set up for it is awesome!
๐ฎ It’s my favorite volume, apart from the first one.
I think this one adds some complexity to the characters and shows that there are some internal struggles. But it is heartbreaking though. I heart was heavy at the end when Alana and Marko fought. I just love the tension in this one.

I agree. Between this one and volume 5, I gave up on Saga.
