My TBR going into 2018

I thought it would be interesting to see how many unread books I have on the shelves by the end of the year!

The Books I am reading right now:

Almost 600 pages into Words of Radiance and about 60% into The Forgotten Beasts of Eld. the first one I absolutely love, the second one is disappointing so far. There’s something off, I can’t really connect with the book. Will finish it anyways though.

The books I started but put aside for now:

I still plan to read them both – I just didn’t feel like them lately. The Jones book is a Re-Read and I started it again in the beginning of the year because it looks like the author is finally continuing with the series, yay!

Totally new books (and a Re-Read)^^

Only 2 more books and my Potter Re-Read is done! A Darker Shade of Magic will be my first 2018 book, as I will take part in a Read Along! Maybe I will not start Oathbringer straight away. I like looking forward to it and the next part won’t be published before 2020.

Audiobooks!

I have about 8 hours of Blood Rites to go and will then continue with Every Heart a Doorway. I started listening to stories when I am driving to work. It’s 30 min there and another 30 min back, so I get to listen to about 1 hour 5 days a week! I think it’s a great way to get some reading done while sitting in the car.

That’s not too bad, right?

I do have a lot of books on my wishlist though – lots of them high priority, like the McClellan’s, which I will probably buy in January as well.

  1. I enjoyed reading Every Heart a Doorway, but haven’t listened to the audio version. I wonder how it will be… fascinating how much a narrator changes a book. Hopefully in this case it is an enhancement!
