Fantasy Bucket List Book Tag

Pippa from The Little Book Owl Β did this tag recently and tagged everyone. I am more than happy to do it as it does not deal with books this time but with Fantasy settings, characters & artifacts. It’s something a little different and should be fun.

Check out her blog by the way if you like Fantasy – she reads lots of awesome books and blogs very regularly!

The person who invented this tag is unfortunately not known.

A fictional world that you would like to tour

Well, since I’ve read the book I’m obsessed with the world of Dune. I didn’t like the story THAT much, but there’s no doubt that the planet Arrakis is awesome and I want to ride on a sandworm, hell yeah!

And to give a second answer – of course the Discworld! So many cool places.. Ankh-Morpork with Unseen University, Cori Celesti, Lancre, the Counterweight Continent and of course XXXX πŸ˜€

A specific place that you would like to visit

So many! The Rain Wilds are always high on my list as they are such a magical & colourful place. Also, Hogwarts, I need to walk around there for a year or so.

And to be honest, although I’d be scared to death, I want to see Blaine and basically every spot from Stephen King’s The Waste Lands as that was my favourite book of the series and the desolate setting helped a lot!

A character that you would like to meet

The Fool from Robin Hobb’s books. Although it would probably get frustrating to have a conversation with him and get straight answers. He’s one of my all-time favourite characters though..Also, I’d like to meet Harry Dresden and be his side-kick!

Kvothe from Rothfuss’s Kingkiller Chronicles would be fun as well, as he’d have lots of exciting stories to tell. Or Pratchett’s Nanny Ogg. I’d love to go on a Pub Crawl with her haha

An event you would like to witness

The ending of The Crippled God by Stephen Erikson.

Kaladin Stormblessed saving Dalinar & his army in The Stormlight Archive.

The birth of Daenerys’ dragons.

The Red Wedding.

What happens in the end of the Fitz and Fool Trilogy.

A sport/activity you would like to try

Um. Is dragon-riding a sport?

A weapon you would like to wield

Dragnipur

The Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch!

An item you would like to use

Hermione’s Time-Turner. That would be fun! Lots of stuff from Harry Potter! The Invisibility Cloak would be neat, as well as the Pensieve..

Everyone, feel tagged! Especially my fellow Fantasy buddies πŸ™‚

  1. Oh, I’d love to meet the Fool too, especially now that I’m reading Fool’s Errand. It’s hilarious how Fitz describes him as posing as Lord Golden and wearing clothes that sets off his coloring.
    What story is Dragnipur from?

  2. If I would still blog, I would LOVE to do this tag. I had so much fun reading your answers. And absolutely YES for the scene, when Kaladin saves Dalinars army. Wuhaaa! And also YES for dragon riding πŸ˜€
If I had to meet a character – mhmm – at the moment I would choose Wayne, because I guess I fell in love with him a little. And as always Iorek Byrnison from His dark Materials and Temeraire – because DRAGONS!

  5. I would definitely have Hogwarts high on my list of places to visit. Lothlorien, too. Most of the places described in LOTR sound too scary (and full of orcs at various times) but Lorien would be worth it. Rivendell, too. And the Shire.

Also, the Harry Potter universe’s wands count as weapons too, right? I’d want to wield one of those.
