I have never participated in a popular challenge but yesterday Annemieke from A Dance with Books talked about this one and I decided to try!
This challenge is hosted by Read at Midnight and the lovely design comes from Read, Think, Ponder.
It runs from August 13th until September 10th and you can read about the rules & sign up here.
Now look at this, isn’t it super adorable?
So basically, you choose a character path that you have to stick to. You choose one book for every task and can earn points along the way. There are also Bonus Quests (the blue squares) you can complete.
The hashtag #TheReadingQuest can be used on twitter or instagram and will earn you some more extra points!
I don’t have a twitter account but will definitely be active on my instagram page! I will probably print the rules out so I won’t count any wrong points and do it all right. I am really excited about doing this! Lots of people have signed up already and I can’t wait to see what everyone ‘s up to. Should be fun, I really hope I’ll stick to it.
I decided to be a Mage!
Here’s what I am thinking about reading. Might still change along the way though!
A Book with a One Word Title –> Not sure here! It will either be Malice by John Gwynne or Betrayal by Fiona McIntosh
A Book that Contains Magic –> Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by Joanne K. Rowling
A Book Based on Mythology –> Norse Mythology by Neil Gaiman
A Book Set in a Different World –> Sword of Destiny by Andrzej Sapkowski
The First Book of a Series –> Black Sun Rising. The Coldfire Trilogy by C.S. Friedman
Would love to partake, unfortunatly, due to life obligations and work, I get to read like 1 book a monthπ

Aw that sucks! I mostly read one a week- I have an easy 5-day job and no kids. Only some animals I have to take care off π

Yea, it certainly seem so. Now I’m thinking to be a bard or knight to switch it up. I’m be a Mage Knight, though a Rogue Mage sounds way cooler!

Nice looking graphics! I don’t take part in other people’s challenges as there are usually too many rules or I’m told what I can and can’t read. I don’t do well with stuff like that! I hope you have fun with it though!

I am in the same boat as Chuckles when it comes to reading challenges.
But I hope you have fun…

Thanks! Well, i might not like it, it’s my first try π i hope it motivates me to read more
I have to say though, one reason i joined was that it fits the books i plan to read this month π

Oh Norse Mythology! I still have to read that as well. Curious to see what you might think of it.

Amazing picks! I totally should have remembered the book Malice! I was seriously having such a hard time thinking of a one word fantasy title that I actually was in the mood for!
But good luck, love, and happy reading! π
