April was a fun month. I dyed my hair from blonde to red, I went to a gorgeous wedding, I watched some good movies and I finished 3 books in total, no surprise there..
I changed my wordpress plan, my layout and without doubt April was my most active month since I started this blog back in July 2016. I started scheduling more posts and have some topics I write about every week (or almost).
I also started this really fun Read Along with Bookstooge from Bookstooge’s Reviews on the Road. We are both re-reading ‘The Malazan Book of the Fallen’ by Steven Erikson and decided to tackle the second volume of the series, ‘Deadhouse Gates’ together. And we are still going 🙂
I also noticed my stats going up, I have more views now & more people read my posts and comment on them. Thank you guys, that makes me super grateful & happy! I really, really appreciate it, it’s much more fun to blog when you know there are people actually interested in what you have to say 🙂 Thank you!!
As a thanks to all of my readers, here’s a picture of my rabbit on the Iron Throne, looking demonic.

What I read
Dealing with Dragons by Patricia C. Wrede –> finished! Loved it, very magical, funny & cute. Here’s my Review.
The Tenth Power by Kate Constable –> finished! Last part of a trilogy, was just meh, a review is coming up.
Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone by Joanne K. Rowling –> finished! Re-read. I just felt like squeezing it in and now I want to re-read the whole series. Will do so over Autumn and Winter, it’s the best time for it.
Deadhouse Gates by Steven Erikson –> 90%! Re-read. Almost done and it was so much fun! I forgot more than I remembered but I think I liked it even more the second time.
Misery by Stephen King –> I am stuck. It doesn’t draw me in as much as other King novels and I already gave it a fair chance. Will not give up yet though. Man, I hate the female antagonist so much!
What I want to read in May
Assassin’s Fate by Robin Hobb –> most anticipated read this year next to Oathbringer. Will get it at the end of the week, when it becomes available on my Kindle.
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by Joanne K. Rowling –> Once started I want to read them ALL again!
Memories of Ice by Steven Erikson –> It’s my favourite of the series!! I am still deciding whether I want to do more ‘Read Along’ posts about it.
The Waking Fire by Anthony Ryan –> Already wanted to read it last month.
A Cavern of Black Ice by J.V. Jones –> I totally forgot about it! I have to pick it up again or I will forget what happened!
So apart from Harry Potter those are all big books. But I am ready for them! 😀
And let’s hope your rabbit has no plans in taking over the world!!!!! 😀

I probably won’t get around to MoI until June, so you are on your own for that one. Hope you have a lot of fun with it…

If you are willing to wait, I’m game for another readalong. I feel like I am getting WAY more out of this than just reading it on my own. So I can do like I did with this, give you a heads up when I’m a week out from staring Memories…

Ooh Queen of Westeros, she does look dangerous w/ that red eye. 🙂 I’m thinking of going back and reading those JV Jones books too, I never did read those. Glad it was a good month!
