March 2017

It’s 3 again this month. If it goes on like this, I will finish more books this year than last.

What I read

The City of Mirrors. Passage Trilogy 3 by Justin Cronin –> finished! The whole trilogy was definitely worth reading! I have been with the characters for so long, some throughout the whole trilogy and was a bit sad to see them go. Book 3 had some boring parts, especially in the middle, but I was cool with the ending. No questions left unanswered and I felt like there was nothing leftΒ  to tell.

Arcanum Unbounded by Brandon Sanderson –> finished! One story I loved to bits, a couple I liked very much, some that were just okay, one that was a disappointment and one I didn’t care about. Not a bad mix. I plan to write a more detailed review soon.

The Waterless Sea. The Chanters of Tremaris 2 by Kate Constable –> finished! Hm. Not as entertaining as the first book. Especially the romance let me down. The characters were apart for too long and when they were together they were bitching at each other for no apparent reason. Also, the jealousy angle was SO forced… I will still finish it, at least it promises to get a better storyline again in the last book.

A Cavern of Black Ice. Sword of Shadows 1 by J. V. Jones –> 142 pages in, Reread! I didn’t remember how very detailed it was. I love how it’s written, I am so captivated by the story, I get cold reading it xD I appreciate that the mean guys are really, REALLY mean & scary. Also, we get lots of perspectives and have more ‘grey’ characters than I remembered.

What I want to read in April

Misery by Stephen King –> I already started this morning!

The Tenth Power. The Chanters of Tremaris 3 by Kate Constable –> To finish off the Trilogy

The Waking Fire. The Draconis Memoria 1 by Anthony Ryan –> I didn’t read about Dragons in a while. That is not acceptable πŸ˜‰ And this one gets great reviews, I am curious!

Maybe I can squeeze in a post-apocalyptic novel as well. I have been feeling more like Fantasy at the moment, but maybe I’ll change my mind.

We also went to Western Australia for a week. We had rain for 2 days unfortunately, but it was still I nice trip and the food there is amazing!
