My September

That wasn’t much better than the month before πŸ˜€ I finished 2 books again.

What I read

The Remaining by D.J. Molles –> finished! Was a quick read, nothing too complicated. In the end too easy and not enough time for character development and a real story. There’s mostly just action happening. Main guy and survivors running away from Zombies and trying to find a safe place. One very sad scene though 😦

The Demon King by Cinda Williams Chima –> finished! I wrote a review here. I was mostly happy with it, although there were a few annoying & infuriating things about it. But I definitely didn’t waste my time with this one and might even read the next book in the series.

The Black Company by Glen Cook –> currently at 5% & Reread! I found it in my Kindle Store! Thought about continuing with the second part immediately, but then I couldn’t remember a whole lot and decided to start again. How could I forget there was a freaking were-leopard at the start! Yes!! And I just love mercenaries!

Nevernight by Jay Kristoff –> currently 39 pages in! I might regret buying this. The start is real weird and I hate the language. Too pretentious, too much rambling, too many adjectives. And those footnotes give way too much information. I will give it another chance and see. The Shadow Cat is cute.

What I have been watching

We finished Breaking Bad the other day. All in all I liked the last season but not the ending. I would have liked a bit more closure regarding some of the characters.

There’s no show we are watching at the moment, but next week Westworld starts and we will definitely check it out. It looks awesome and is starring Anthony Hopkins and Ed Harris. And also, HBO.

There’s also this new show, we are recording but haven’t started yet. It’s a crime show called Quarry and the trailer made us curious about it.

What else?img_1779

We got 4 baby chicks! And they are just adorable. Today they are a week old and growing up really quickly. They still have to stay inside but will move out in probably 6-8 weeks. We might get eggs in early January πŸ™‚ I can’t wait to never buy eggs again.

Also the weather is finally getting nicer, so I will soon be able to read outside in the sun again, yay!
